KRSP / Yulefest Kilkenny Medieval Mile Run

Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership and Yulefest Kilkenny, invite everybody in Kilkenny to get outdoors and complete Ireland’s Medieval Mile Run. We’re delighted to be sponsored by PRL.

On Friday, November 29th, starting at St.Francis Bridge and finishing at Kilkenny Castle, runners, joggers, walkers, hand cyclists, of all ages will come out on the streets and complete Ireland’s Medieval Mile Run. It will take place on closed streets under Kilkenny’s magical Christmas lights.

“As well as families and individuals we are also encouraging specific groups in the area including young people, those from disadvantaged areas, minority groups, people with a disability, women, teenage girls and older adults to get involved. The Medieval Mile Run is a great opportunity for everyone in the community at every level of fitness to complete a mile at their own pace and to have fun doing it. Events like this are great encouragement to get started and to continue to exercise right throughout the festive season”, Nicola Keeshan of Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership.

All participants must be registered to take part.

The event is supported by the PRL Group, who will be making a donation to the charity Pieta House.

There will be entertainment on the night and refreshments for all after the run.
