“Plough thru the City” is an all type vehicle run passing through the streets of Kilkenny and is being organised in partnership with Down Syndrome Ireland and Threecastles GAA Club.

Threecastles GAA Club is one of the smallest GAA clubs in Kilkenny with a very tightly knit community. Every club need fundraisers to keep things going but our ethos is that it would be great to give something back to a charity while doing something fun.

The event is open to all types of vehicles and the entry fee is €20. Registration is from 2pm with the “Run” starting at 3.30pm. The run will come in the Castlecomer road by Newpark Hotel, turn right over the New Bridge, left into Irishtown, up Parliament Street, High street, left at the Parade, down Rose Inn Street and up John’s street. The run will disperse after it exits the top of John’s street.

We are encouraging all participants to really put a huge effort into decorating their vehicles to create a real festive atmosphere and spectacle for the crowds. There will be prizes for the best decorated vehicles.
