Come along and treat yourself to some uplifting music for the soul in the midst of the busy Christmas season, Sunday 8th December at St. John’s Church, Dublin Rd., Kilkenny.  For this Christmas Concert, the Kilkenny Choir will perform the ever popular and uplifting Vivaldi’s Gloria together with a professional orchestra. They will also perform works of Lauridsen, Dawson and other seasonal favourites.

The Kilkenny Choir is a mixed voice choir of 80 members. Founded in 1992, it has become a nationally recognized choral ensemble. Their annual Christmas Concert features choir and professional orchestra and draws in huge appreciative audiences from Kilkenny in the beautiful setting of St John’s Parish Church, Dublin Road, which is convenient to McDonagh Train Station and Shopping Centre. This is an ideal way to sample Kilkenny’s cultural life and Yulefest Kilkenny all within a convenient day trip from Dublin, Leinster and Waterford.

Thomas Kehoe is the Musical Director of the Kilkenny Choir since 2018, a Masters graduate of University College Dublin and University of Cambridge. He is currently Musical Director of Ballinteer Male Voice Choir, The Amici Singers and the Stillorgan Youth Choir. Thomas moved to Kilkenny in 2016 performing with St Canice’s Cathedral Choir, Kilkenny Arts Festival and accompanying the award-winning choirs of Presentation Secondary School.
