Since 2020, Amber’s meaningful community star installations have formed part of Yulefest Kilkenny celebrations. This year Amber’s One Million Stars Project is delighted to partner once more with Yulefest Kilkenny, along with support from MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre, to showcase the Amber Selfie Star at the Goods Shed Square.
Members of the public are invited to snap a Christmas selfie at the star and share on their socials #kilkennyYulefest #onemillionstarsireland #amberstarsforyulefest Please follow and tag @irelandstarweavers @kilkennyyulefest @MacDonaghJunction

Amber’s One Million Stars project is an inclusive community arts project connecting communities across Ireland in solidarity against domestic abuse and all forms of violence. Founded in 2019, the project was brought to Ireland and is being directed here by Art Therapist Siobhan McQuillan and Amber Women’s Refuge. There are now star weaving communities in 26 counties across Ireland, who collectively have woven over 250,000 stars to end violence in Ireland.
