Celebrated around the world as one of the great folk icons, Finbar’s playing was recognised by John Peel back in 1972, and he has not stopped writing and performing since then. At the forefront of musical change, Finbar’s successful career, and extensive touring introduced a new audience to his music and instruments.
April 2018 saw the release of his first Live Concert DVD from Vicar Street Dublin, and a new album of his own work, ‘Don’t Stop This Now’ which RTE described as “the album we all have been waiting for from Finbar, a man at peace with himself, and his music.”
“Finbar Furey proves that he is not just a massive force in Irish music’s heritage, he is a massive force in shaping its future as well.”
