Medieval Mile Museum – Home for Christmas, don’t miss out on an opportunity to experience this amazing building and it’s treasures.

The Medieval Mile Museum has gone from strength to strength in 2018, having welcomed tens of thousands of visitors through its doors. We have had the opportunity to share Kilkenny’s stories with people from all over the world and we have hosted evening events and weddings giving local and international visitors the chance to experience this amazing building and its treasures.

If you are lucky enough to be welcoming family and friends home for Christmas, you simply must bring them to experience the museum. We will be open to visitors between 11am and 4.30pm on the 27th to the 30th of December and again on the 2nd of January. Our guided tours are legendary and places are limited, so avoid disappointment and book ahead through our website.

Experience the LEGO® Hunt, which has given families hours of fun in the museum and will continue to run into the New Year.

View the new art piece installation in the stunning east window, the piece is the result of paper cutting workshops involved participants painstakingly cutting abstract shapes from paper rolls, inspired by blackletter – a type of script used throughout Europe in the medieval period. The installation will be in place throughout the Christmas period and into the new year.
