Santa’s City Cycle is taking to the streets of Kilkenny this festive season!
Join Santa on his spin around the town before he turns on the Christmas Lights launching Yulefest Kilkenny 2025!
This year there is an added social cycle, a gentle spin around Kilkenny from 1pm – 2pm.
At 2pm everyone will gather at Canal Square. Here you can watch as Santa arrives into Kilkenny by boat up the River Nore. Once Santa is off the River, he will board his very special bike to take off on a lap of Kilkenny city.
The Santa City Cycle will start between 2.30pm – 2.45pm with participants to be at Canal Square from 2pm. Everyone taking part is encouraged to bling your bikes, dress festively and of course don’t forget your helmet!

There will be a limited number of Specialized Ireland City E-Bikes available on the day, with registration for these beginning at 12noon on The Parade, outside the Castle.
Timeline for Santa’s City Cycle:
Specialized E-bike Registration: From 12 noon, top of the Parade, outside Kilkenny Castle
Pre-Ride: 1–2pm, top of The Parade, outside Kilkenny Castle – cycle around the streets of Kilkenny
Santa’s City Cycle Meeting: 2pm at the Hurling Monument, Canal Square to collect Santa off the river by boat
Santa’s City Cycle: Leaving 2.30pm, cycling around Kilkenny and finishing at Kilkenny Castle
