Music Generation Kilkenny presents ‘Try the Pipes’ in partnership with Na Píobairí Uilleann.
Music Generation Kilkenny, in partnership with Na Píobairí Uilleann, is offering a free uilleann pipe taster session to young people supported by Yulefest Kilkenny. The event takes place on the 29 November 2025 from 4–6pm at the Medieval Mile Museum, Mary’s Lane, Kilkenny City.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to listen to some accomplished uilleann pipers as well as try out the instrument for themselves with the assistance of a professional piper. They can also find out more information about upcoming classes with Music Generation Kilkenny.
Try the Pipes is open to ages 10 – 18 and uilleann pipes will be made available on the day.
Kieran Joy from Na Píobairí Uilleann and Mick Foley from Kilkenny Pipers Club will facilitate the taster session.
