Christmas market in the heart of Kilkenny City!
Experience the magic of the Yulefest Christmas Market, beautifully set against the stunning backdrop of Kilkenny Castle. Stroll among charming wooden huts offering seasonal treats, handcrafted local gifts, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
It’s the perfect place to soak up the festive atmosphere, enjoy a leisurely wander, or find that unique gift for someone special. Each weekend will feature live music and family-friendly entertainment, adding to the magic of the season!
The market opens on Saturday, 28th November, with Santa’s arrival, and runs every weekend until Sunday, 20th December. It then continues into Christmas week with special festive markets on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd (11am – 7pm) and Wednesday 23rd December (11am – 6pm).
The Christmas market is open Saturdays 11am – 8pm and Sundays 11am – 6pm. It is free to enter and there are lots of places to soak up the atmosphere and to sit to enjoy your festive treats!

For those coming to Kilkenny during the week the Kilkenny local farmers market takes place every Thursday on The Parade in Kilkenny city. Not quite the Yulefest Christmas Market but a nice place to pick up fresh food and little treats!
